Frequently Asked Questions (FAQS)

What do patient advocates do?

Patient advocates provide personalized support to help individuals and families navigate the complexities of the healthcare system. They act as a trusted guide—helping clients understand medical information, explore treatment options, ask the right questions, and make informed decisions about their care. Advocates also assist with care coordination, appointment preparation, and communication between patients, providers, and healthcare facilities. At Medical Tourism RN, our advocates work solely on behalf of the client to ensure their voice is heard, their rights are respected, and their care aligns with their values and goals—whether at home or abroad.

We do not diagnose, treat medical conditions, or prescribe medications. While some of our patient advocates hold clinical credentials, they serve strictly in a non-clinical capacity. Their role is to support, guide, and advocate for you—not to provide medical care.

No. Medical Tourism RN does not accept medical insurance as our advocates are independent patient advocates, meaning they are not covered by insurance companies.

We have advocates serving all over the United States, but an advocate doesn’t need to live in your city to help you get the best care. Wherever they are, they’ll work closely with your care team to get the best possible health outcome. We’ll match you with the best advocate for you.
