Our Founder, Dr. Natasha Ramontal became a patient advocate after the heartbreaking loss of her 32-year-old brother in 2006, whose life was cut short due to a lack of proper care and the absence of someone to speak up on his behalf. This was devastating for her entire family and opened her eyes to the urgent need for patient-centered support. Since then, she became a registered nurse and patient advocate. Natasha has devoted her life to assisting patients, their families and caregivers to prevent others from experiencing the same pain. Natasha helps patients understand their rights and options. Through clear, compassionate communication with providers, she empowers them to make informed decisions about their care.
Navigating the healthcare system is complicated—even for those within the field—which is why her unwavering commitment is to educate, guide, and advocate for patients so they can achieve the best possible outcomes.
Dr. Natasha Ramontal is a Registered Nurse and Board-Certified Patient Advocate with a mission-driven career that bridges the gap between clinical care, digital transformation, and patient empowerment through advocacy.
She’s worked in the Emergency Department and the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit as a Registered Nurse and has also worked for one of the top 3 largest health insurance companies as a Care Manager giving her a unique perspective from the business side of healthcare. As a seasoned clinician, she’s worked with hospitals, health systems, and provider groups globally to accelerate their digital maturity—aligning innovations with clinical workflows, workforce capacity, and most importantly, patient needs. Throughout her career Dr. Ramontal has led national technology implementation efforts, trained clinicians in value-based care, and developed clinical programs focused on equity, access, and the quintuple aim. She also taught in nursing academia and worked across care settings, from managed care– to home health —to population health, always guided by a deep belief that informed, empowered patients achieve better outcomes.
As the founder of Medical Tourism RN, Dr. Ramontal advocates for patients navigating complex care decisions both in the U.S. and abroad. She helps patients and families understand their rights, explore options, and make confident, informed healthcare decisions. Her advocacy work reflects her personal commitment to closing gaps in care
As a dedicated Board Certified Patient Advocate, she also guides patients through elective procedures such as cosmetic surgery, fertility, and dental care. Her work centers on empowering patients with clear information, personalized support, and culturally sensitive guidance to ensure they make informed decisions, receive equitable care, and experience better health outcomes—whether facing chronic illness, critical diagnosis, or elective treatments.
Dr. Ramontal leads a team of dedicated patient advocates ready to serve you! While some of our patient advocates hold clinical credentials, they serve strictly in a non-clinical capacity. Their role is to support, guide, and advocate for you—not to provide medical care.
